<초록>

1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to examine awareness of green home and preference for that in an attempt to provide some information on the right directions of housing policy setting and of the real estate market. (2) RESEARCH METHOD The subjects on this study were selected experts and people in general, on whom a survey was conducted. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical package SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science), and x2(chi-square) test, t-test and one-way ANOVA were utilized. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS According to the results of the survey, the people in general weren't well aware of green home and didn't have a lot of intention to move into a green home. Those who were better aware of green home, who were more satisfied with their current residences and who were less educated had a more intention to move into a green home. 2. RESULTS The findings of the study showed that in our country, people weren't interested in constructing green homes requiring lots of early investment since they were still much concern about housing price rather than its quality. Therefore it's urgently required to change the way of looking at green home.
